Bodhrán
Workshop
Mark Stone and Albert Alfonso - Instructors
Mark Stone
is one of the country's finest bodhrán players and has beaten his
way around such Celtic legends as James Kelly, Jerry O'Sullivan,
Brian Conway, Mick Moloney and Zan McCleod. Mark is currently the
bodhran player and singer with the Austin-based band Poor
Man's Fortune.
Albert
is clearly one of the premier bodhrán (Irish drum) players in the
"civilized" world. Creatively blending a variety of world rhythms,
Albert plays the traditional repertoire in his own innovative style.
Albert also builds excellent, high-quality bodhráns with unprocessed
skins and brass tuning systems. Albert is also the featured bodhrán
player with the legendary Mississippi/Louisiana band, Legacy.
