Burleson
 A
lifelong student of folklore and mythology, John has told stories
professionally since 1990. He regularly performs concerts and conducts
workshops in schools, libraries, and festivals. With sponsorship
from the Southwest Celtic Music Association in March 2000, he traveled
to the North of Ireland to present stories of Texas and the American
West to students in Irish national schools.
Past appearances
include: North Texas Irish Festival,
Celtic Heritage Festival in Bedford, Texas; Texas Folklife Festival
in San Antonio; and the Milwaukee Irish Festival. His 45-minute
CD of Irish and Scottish stories, The Winding Way, is available
at the NTIF performers' sales area.
