Zan McLeod
is one of the most talented accompanists and arrangers in the world
of Irish music today. He is also well known for his engineering
and producing talents. One of the world's most popular acoustic
accompanists, McLeod began with Touchstone and hails from North
Carolina. He fluidly shifts from old-time American to Irish traditional
styles and is known for his driving and inventive playing. A virtuoso
on both guitar and bouzouki he has recorded with Liz Carroll, The
Chieftains, and James Kelly - His solo release - Highland Soul (1993)
-won several WAMA awards, including best recording.
