Michael Harrison

Michael cut his musical teeth as a country/rock drummer but took to the acoustic guitar while floating around the North Atlantic during a stint in the US Navy. A few years back he shed the drums almost completely and gave himself over to folk music where the sailing has been great. This is Michael's second appearance at NTIF. He is a regular performer at Celtic and Folk venues in the North Texas area and has been a featured performer at the Emerald Mist since its opening in September of 1999.

Michael has a new CD on Boston Road Records planned to be released in the Spring of 2001 titled One More Ride. Michael says of the album "it will be pretty much what I do -- a little Irish, a little American, some Scottish and some Canadian folk songs."
