Lost Tribe

Lost Tribe Lost Tribe, a long established regional favorite of north Texas Celtic music fans, has performed in a variety of venues this year not only in Texas, but spanning the Southwest to the Southeast U.S. Band members Delaney and Burleson have played together since 1984; Cummings-Ener and Hryekewicz joined the band in 1990. Along with masterfully arranged jigs and reels, performances include instrumental material from Scotland, Ireland, Brittany, and America, while the singing of Cummings and Delaney contribute to the authenticity Lost Tribe strives for in performance and recording. The result is always high energy, great musicality and pure entertainment.

* John Burleson - Guitars, bodhran, storytelling
* Betsy Cummings Ener- Accordion, bodhran, vocals
* John Delaney - Whistle, flute, guitar, concertina, hammer dulcimer, vocals
* Mike Hryekewicz - Fiddle

For several years now, Lost Tribe's four band members have lived up to their name and now reside Tulsa, Oklahoma , Denton, Collin County, and Bee Cave, TX. But distance has never daunted this nomadic group of musicians. Usual venues include festivals, performance halls, clubs, and private events. Recent appearances at the Texas Folklife Festival, Mississippi Celtic Fest, North Texas Irish Festival, Days of the Scots in Wimberly, Amarillo Celtic Festival, as well as, Houston's McGonigal's Mucky Duck and Austin Celtic Festival, remind Lost Tribe's devoted followers why Celtic music played true to its origins is an integral part of the culture of Ireland, the British Isles, and the other Celtic nations. In Fall of 1998, Lost Tribe released their latest CD recording "The Bonny Wooden Witch."
